Finding the One // Enjole' Interiors // Love IT! EVV
Finding the one has never been so easy. No, this isn't a dating advice blog. It's much more important than that. Have you ever noticed that there is always one piece in a room that sets the tone for the entire space? That piece is like the cheerleader pumping up all of the other elements in the room to follow their own enthusiasm. It's the piece that you compare all other pieces to and you just know that's the one. Well where do you find the one and how do you land it? And what type of one should be on your radar?
Be cool. You can't try too hard when it comes to home decor. It shows. Sure, you can spend hours looking on Pinterest, but putting it into practice can be a little harder. It's like a bad engagement proposal. You think you've got your whole life planned out together, then it's a big no when you get the piece home. It's always a good time to bring in the big guns. Ask a design professional. These people are interior love experts. We naturally think of Enjole’ Interiors as the go to pretty place experts.
Be open minded. You may have a set of expectations in your mind. The piece has to be tall, dark, and handsome. But maybe that isn't what your room needs. Maybe your rooms needs comfortable, chill, and round. Moral of the story... when you're out shopping for the one, be open to considering something outside of your comfort zone. These are often the ones we fall for the hardest.
Be smart. Please don't fall into that Pinterest fail category. If DIY is not your jam, don't play it. Go see an expert, shop their inventory. Target and IKEA are fun places to shop for decor, BUT they are overdone and lose their specialty when you see the same piece in Becky’s Instagram photo. Go to specialty stores like Enjole’ Interiors. Their inventory is ever changing and so unique...no sloppy seconds.
Be real. Finding the right piece can be clouded by infatuation. There may be several pieces that you come across that you “think” you love. Sure, they may be a good time, beautiful in fact, but can you see a long term commitment with them? I mean you have to look at that piece every time you walk into the room. Really consider your style and the style of your home. Again consulting with an interior designer is best. Their knowledge of space, fit, scale, and colors is beyond what we can imagine for ourselves.
Be grateful. No remorse. No cold feet. When you find the one, don't be thinking of the other fish out there. Yes, there will be other decor items. But you need to focus on the one to whom you are committing. There are always other rooms. But today you are decorating one. Pop that tag and take ‘em home.
These points are fail proof especially when you focus on the reoccurring theme...GO SEE A PROFESSIONAL. We are obsessed with Enjole’ Interiors. The entire store is full of “ones”. Plus, they are professionals. Their advice and services are invaluable. Join us at our Issue 13 launch party hosted by Enjole on April 13th! You may just find the one.
