Mix & Match | 3 Tips to Transition Your Winter Wardrobe Into Spring

I know I’m not alone in feeling the February blues.  Here in Indiana, we never know what we are going to get.  It could be 60 and sunny one day, and 30 and a blizzard the next. This time of year, I’m typically reaching for my skinny jeans, chunky sweaters, and Keen boots while secretly crying inside wishing that March would just be here already!  When I realized though that I had more yoga pants in my closet than STB clothes, I knew something had to change.  It’s time to mix and match.

Mixing and matching is a great way to freshen up your wardrobe!  I’m not saying that trusty blanket scarf is going to go with everything ladies (yes, you may have to bag it until next fall) but there are so many other ways to freshen up your look before spring even gets here!

Think transitionally!

This bright colored cardigan is SCREAMING to be paired with your trusty skinny jeans and booties.  The fresh bold color takes it to a new level, and if you are wearing this look at night, it’s easy to swap the booties out for knee high boots and add a chunky blanket scarf.

Throw it back to a classic!

Denim shirt dresses will never go out of style.  They are always so easy to transition from season to season.  Take a fall floppy hat and pair it with this denim look above.  If it’s still chilly all you have to do is throw on tights!  In the spring, lose the tights and freshen up the booties to a lighter color!

Keep It Peachy!

Peach and coral are always a staple spring color, but who says you can’t wear them now?  Layering tunics are amazing for spring!  You can take our Don’t Make Me Blush Dress and pair it under our  Sweet Pea Natural Ruffled Sweater  for a sweet spring look, or throw on some denim with a chunky heel bootie to freshen up your February vibe.
